Log into your Facebook account
I log into my Facebook account and scroll through the sidebar where I can find my relationship status, who I am friends with, and who is in my family. However, I cannot see my previous relationships on this list. To change this, you need to visit the Settings page by clicking on the hamburger menu button in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Once there select Timeline and Tagging from the General tab at the top of your screen. Next, click on How do I stop someone from tagging me in posts? At the bottom of that page click on How do I prevent someone from tagging me in posts?
Finally, click Edit next to ‘Who sees taggings that mention me?’ Select Nobody under ‘Who can see taggings that mention me?’ and click Save Changes. From now on when someone tags you in a post it will no longer show up on your timeline or in search results. You can also edit these settings later if you want to remove this restriction.
Enter your partner’s name

If they’ve changed their Facebook relationship status since you’ve been friends with them and now you can’t see it, go into that person’s profile and press on their Friends tab. On the left hand side, there will be the option See Friendship History. Click on this and the website will show you all of the people this person has had relationships with on Facebook.

If you have mutual friends with an old friend you’d like to get in touch with, send them a message and ask if they know how. If not, suggest that the two of you send a message on behalf of your old friend’s page. The idea is that even if your past acquaintance hasn’t changed their privacy settings since you last communicated, they will most likely be happy to hear from one of their friends and may open up a conversation from there.
